Beach....

This is the beach, Playa de Amerador, that I run towards, alongside and occasionally on. It’s too pebbly and short to do the whole thing on, but good for a couple of minutes.

And tonight is the first night the crickets have come out to play! Everyone else loves the sound of the cicadas, but I much prefer the gentle chirruping of the crickets.

I’ve definitely heard cicadas while in the Caribbean; not sure I’ve heard crickets although have spent time in rural Spain. I’m intrigued...
