Well I'm not. In fact a gain, and that's with a calorie deficit 😶

I stopped weighing myself around week 5, but you will gain fitness, and I'm hoping that I will settle weight wise when I am doing longer runs 3 times a week.

It isn't really a weight loss programme. You will however feel really positive, and good about yourself.

You probably won't lose a lot. But you will be fitter and your body shape may change. You are not doing a lot of running at this stage. You need to combine with diet. Running burns quite a lot of calories though. So once you finish the program and run 30 mins 3 times a week you might find that changes.

The point of the program is that it builds your stamina so you can do that. Just enjoy the journey

No but that might be due to stopping in Tesco & buying ice cream as a reward

I am but only because I’m consciously eating less to lose weight. If I ate like I do normally I don’t think it would make any difference because it’s building up muscle.

Read the guide to the plan for basic advice healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

Once you feel good about yourself, and the mental benefits of running are equal to the physical ones, you will not want to compromise your running by eating badly.

Changing diet too, I have lost about a stone all in all, and 2 inches off my waist!!

yes but Im making a decision to eat very sensibly. In my head I think if I eat well I might run better ..and if I run better I may lose weight/change shape quicker

If you feel good about what you are doing with the C25k you may find the feel good factor is transferred to your control over healthy eating too.

I so wish - no I am half a stone heavier, have calves like Popeye, my boobs are shrinking though and stomach fat is definitely disappearing.

I am happy about only one of these... :)

I’ve been doing c25k along with going to the gym and I’m also doing slimming world. I had lost about 1st when I started wk1. I was so excited for the scales on my Monday weighing. As I’ve had stuck to plan and had started running I was expecting a loss. I was gutted when I was told I had put half a pound on and nearly quit running. Anyway I kept at it and had a 6.5lb loss the following week. I graduated last week and I’m just 1lb shy of 3st off. I know I’m hitting the gym a lot but if it wasn’t for C25k I would not of made the effort to get back to the gym. Also I recommend you buy a good tape measure as with exercise you will lose inches more then weight. Anyway some will say your not doing enough exercise to lose weight but in my own opinion I feel it is enough exercise to begin with. And it may turn you into a gym junki like me 😂

I've been eating healthy and running and my weight has mostly stayed the same. My body shape has changed though! My calves look amazing!! I'm the same size all over, but firmer, muscles are harder, less jiggle. I expect more results will come with regular longer runs, and maybe throwing in some cross training. I'm quite pleased even though I'd hoped to lose a few more pounds. I only have 20 lbs to lose and I think this last bit is the hardest.

Don’t think of it as weight loss, if your clothes are baggier then that’s the proof in the pudding.

When you exercise you convert fat to muscle and as muscle is twice as dense as fat you may not lose as much as you want. If that makes sense to you😊
