C25K is going to have to wait a little while as yesterday whilst out on my bike with my son and his mates, I got flipped over the handlebars and thrown about 15m down a mountain side, bounced a few times and landed face down. The pain I felt, I thought I had busted my ribs again but I was just winded, it scared my boy to death. So woke up this morning very sore and bruised (ego mainly).
These young boys are more agile than me it seems as they took the same trail and only my son and I came off. He got stuck and fell off and I got thrown, it must be a family thing lol🤕🤕😂😂
Oh no Steve - what a shame. Hope you're OK - could have been much worse, presumably, but still a bummer! Hope your son is OK too. Make sure you're fully mended before you run again - keep posting as well. You talk a lot of sense. Good luck. 👍
W4 and struggling with the 5 minute runs. I’m going to not use the app for a week or two until I can complete the whole 5 minutes then move on with the app and see if that works🤨
Weeks 4 to 6 are transformational! They were the wonder weeks for me when my body began to amaze me with what it was capable of (and very different from the lead legs and bursting lungs of weeks 1-3 😂). Rest up then keep on going. 😊
Oh no! That's awful. Glad u r Ok. Maybe worth getting checked over though. What a shame. Never mind - get well & then get straight back on it - but do recover first!

I will thank you. It’s nice to know people care😊
It always gives me a warm tingly feeling knowing how many of you care😘
This link will explain better but basically they help you heal and safe to use on the whole family - even the pets .
It is something I have used for years - I started out using cream on my son when he was little when he fell over and later I was told about the pills .
My hubby uses them if he strains lifting in work
I used them for my son when he broke his elbow
Hubby used them after tooth extraction and the dentist was so shocked how well he healed
My friend used on her cat when he got run over - the next day he was up and running again
I used them after my hysterectomy and my healing if wound was closed by day 5 !
And the best bit is they are natural and will not interfere with any other meds
Oops sorry went on a bit then X
P.s get them in boots or Holland Barret type shop 30c are best X
Glad you are ok Steve. Sounds like that could have been so much worse. I did that once as a kid and still don’t know how I didn’t break anything. Have a speedy recovery and make sure you return to finish the program ok? 🙂
I think they should be required by all. Mine has saved me a few times. Do u run in winter there? I guess it gets really cold in Canada that one of my places of choice, is love to go there.
I wear mine whenever I ride too. It really should be mandatory for all. Yes I ran through this winter. It gets cold, but not so bad if you are layered up well. We are in Toronto, so its not the tundra or anything close😁!
Just took a peek at Toronto on google earth, looks beautiful there. Great views. If you look for Brecon Beacons uk I’m about 15ish miles from there. This is my playground 😁
Wow the views are beautiful on Google Maps. Toronto is quite nice, but we need to go north a couple of hours drive up to cottage country for any real zones of lakes and trees like you have. Great biking country!
Ouch. Egos can be stuck back together with a bit of love, chocolate and red wine, but broken bones would have been a real bummer. I say your son is lucky to have a dad who goes out biking with him and his mates, he must be proud of you. Might be a good idea to get checked over by a doc just in case ? Take care of yourself, slap on the arnica and I hope you're back in your trainers soon.
I did it finally W4R2 and then some sort of found my stride and pace but on a treadmill and not the road. Finished W4R2 did a weight training session then ran for 19 minutes without stopping and all that after falling off my bike yesterday. I Can’t believe it but I feel like I cheated doing it on the treadmill though. I feel amazing for the first time in a long tome💪🏼😎
