Hi guys - I’ve just downloaded the app but haven’t started yet - I’m finding my way around and planning (possibly avoidance I know!) but do you all run whatever the weather? Silly question but what do you wear when it’s pouring down!? It’s shocking here today! 😮

Yes! We’ve all been running in sleet, hail and snow so rain is fine! It’s nice actually. In this temp I go tshirt and leggings but I sweat when it was minus 4 😂 maybe wear a light long sleeved top. I’ve just been out on the bike for an hour and got soaked. It’s fun!

Ha ha...chucking it down, well, it’s waited until I’ve laced my trainers lately & then the heavens have opened!! I even got pummelled with hailstones on Friday, I have to admit that they beat me though!!!! I run in rain....I’m scared of ice so avoid icy days, I just wear a showerproof coat that I end up peeling off half way through as I don’t like layering up & at the end of the day, we’re waterproof & once we’re wet, we’re wet! My leggings got so wet on Monday that the weight of them were making them come down so I was hoiking them up all the way round....I was getting some strange looks from car windows as they drove passed me wondering what on earth I was doing running in torrential rain but who cares??? It’s liberating & like chicken soup for the soul!!!!

Hi, I run in most weather conditions but did take a break in the snow. I tried a lightweight waterproof coat in the rain but found I just got too hot. So I just go for it now in any weather, get home to a nice warm shower 😊

I do not run whatever the weather. I am in Canada and it's still winter where I am, a snow storm today.. it would be difficult to do a run today with 25cm predicted to fall and wind blowing it into drifts. I will not run in pouring rain either... I used to run about 10 years ago and I find it too unpleasant. I wear glasses and dislike having wet glasses.... a hat in light rain mostly avoids that, but in pouring rain there's really no avoiding it. Do what works for you... give it a go and if you hate it, don't plan another run in those conditions. If you feel your feet rubbing uncomfortably in pouring rain, perhaps turn around for the day.

Can you go to a indoor gym and use the treadmill? It’s better than running in cold pouring rain, also here in sunny Tucson I would love running in the rain

Just read other people’s reply’s and their out there in the weather doing it so I guess you should just go for it! Think of the exciting rush you’ll feel from it

Rain is okay, you should be warmed through from the running. Some people wear waterproofs but they just make me sweat.

Welcome.

The guide to the plan is full of basic advice healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

Running in the rain is fine, running in the cold is fine..............I am a wimp and rarely start a run in cold rain (don't tell anyone, though).
