After a tough week having been struck down with a virus Monday & Tuesday it was tough getting runs 2 & 3 in. Run 2 was tough and I had.planned to run Sunday but after my wife went to do 30mins at the gym for Sport Relief it seemed appropriate to do run 3 today. And I did it, in fact I ran on to do 5k in 33 mins and feel great. Never would have believed it at the start.
And I would like to thank this forum as it has made such a difference. The support and reading the sharing of stories has really helped. Ive not said before but for over a year now I have suffered with anxiety and depression, something no one who knows me ever thought would happen, but hey life events strike and have an impact. Running is making me believe I can achieve things again. Its small steps but you have to start somewhere.
So enjoy your running and being part of this community as it really can help. Thanks.

The mental benefits of running are huge and the self belief and self esteem that are generated by this simple little training plan are a great bonus to go with the physical side.
