Here I am in rural France staying with relatives for a week. I packed my running gear and was looking forward to my first post graduation sessions. However it is extremely cold here and my brother in law who is a lifelong runner, cyclist and sporty bloke, didn’t want to stay longer than 15 mins at the lake he drove to for our run. (Their house is in the midst of very steep hills. ) So I only managed an abbreviated session. Rather disappointing but on the other hand made me realise how far this programme has brought me. I’d never have believed I’d be lamenting not running enough in a bitter east wind while on holiday!

What a shame the run was cut short... but.. you did have a run...We are getting hardened to these bitter winds here aren't we? I have a permanently glowing face... wind-burn
