Re-learning to run after 18 years.

Greetings, I am starting to run after around 18 years. I am currently 20-Kgs overweight. My biggest struggle has been trying to make a habit of regular exercise. I suppose, running is not the best form of exercise for me, considering my weight, but I have a dream of being able to run for at least 1 Km.

I am hoping Cto5K program will help me fulfill my dream. I love the music and how the trainer speaks to me. Almost like personalised coaching.

I completed 3 week1 runs, and the 1st run of week 2 in February. Unfortunately, I have had to take a break due to pain below the patella of the left knee. Orthopedic advised rest and medication. Today(13 March) I resumed back with week1 run.

Wish me luck...

Lots of luck with the programme - it is like having a personal trainer, and this forum really helps as well with advice and encouragement. Hope your knee is OK now, and happy running! xx

Loads of luck on your return. You can and will meet your 1km target, just take your time, slow and steady gets you there. Let us know how you are getting on as its great to read f the success stories run by run
