After the elation of the Parks Run my hips and thighs are aching/sore after 5k run this evening - not sure if body is protesting after pounding the pavements or if itβs just the cumulative effect of the increased distances.
Extra rest days or shorten distance on next run? (Or man up) would like to be fit for another PR on Saturday π€

If you have moved through C25k at normal pace, then you have been increasing your body's workload week on week for nearly three months. There is nothing wrong with having an extra day or two rest days, allowing your body to recover and recuperate and probably find yourself returning refreshed and revitalised...............that's a lot of re words!!
It is reckoned to be a good idea to have a total break from running every few months. Many of my PBs have arrived out of the blue after a week's break from running.
