Morning, completed the run , but that’s not really what I want to talk about

Before I go on I just want to state that I never expect replies or anything from what I write on here, it’s just that I don’t have anyone to really talk about running with so on here I just kind of vent my spleen about what’s going on in my running and head , feel free to ignore 👍🏻

So....i haven’t ran since last Tuesday (life/Work commitments) and strange things have been going on🤣...let me explain , during the last six weeks it’s usual for my legs to ache or be sore on a daily basis, I’ve just put it down to what I think happens when you start running three times a week, anyway on Saturday my legs started aching in a different way, I think they were aching because I hadn’t run?!?..is that even possible??...and then on Monday I was feeling all anxy because it had been nearly a week since I’d run ?!?...what is going on??....and then today I woke up I damn near jumped out the bed in excitements I was going for my run🤦🏻‍♂️

I get to run again on Thursday and I couldn’t be happier ...🤪

I still struggle, both on catching my breath and the legs still get heavy , and seasons will change with more pace but it’s becoming that I want to go running and that from where i was six weeks ago is absolutely mental

Laters 👋🏻

I definitely know that fidgety gottta run, gotta move feeling in the legs--it's a bit like being 10 years old again (at 57)

Then again on other days the people in charge seem to have turned gravity up a bit.

Yeap, you are hooked.

Incidentally, I find my legs ache much less if I stretch daily, not just run days.

I think that may be starting to happen to me too - not the achey legsbut the feeling of wishing it was a running day. I’m very wary of pushing too much, as I’m 65 next week and so far running reeeeaaaallly slowly is working. TBH if I went any slower I’d be going backwards, but I gather that’s fine. Good for you, good for everyone on here wherever they are.

You are without doubt heading towards becoming a runaholic you poor devil but don't worry as you'll be in good company.

Pretty sure that Oldfloss will be reading your post chuckling to herself and thinking yes that's another one, hook, line and sinker

Sounds good, well done you! If you are struggling to catch your breath, slow down. It's fine to go at walking pace if it makes you comfortable. 😄

Yes, you're definitely hooked and that's... wonderful! Just remember to take it easy and gently, enjoy your runs and go for it :-)

Gotcha!!!

You are now totally, utterly, wonderfully hooked... the runs, the seasons, the changes... all indicators of a new chapter in your life... :)

Waking up, knowing it is a run day... going to sleep, waiting for that run day... watching the weather on a rest day and still wanting to be out there... I
