W7R2 - Practice Run

Today was my first 'practice run'. Think I know why (no tea last night and a knee niggle that I was over thinking) but still feel a bit deflated. I ran for 16 mins but then stopped and couldn't restart. Walked home so I was still out for 35 mins. Question now is whether I take my usual rest day or try again in the morning?

Take your rest day and keep to your usual schedule. A practice run is good from time to time - we're human after all, not fitness machines - not yet anyway 😀

I'm sure thenext one will be back on track.

Take your rest day.. some stretches, some exercises and then head out as normal :)

Well done. Sometimes runs don't go to plan but you were out there trying. Have you rest day 👏

Definitely have a rest day, better to come back at it from the strongest position. Plus if you were having knee niggle, it's not going to help depriving it of rest :)

Funnily enough there's two folks who've had a W7R2 Practice Run today, so you & Matal should just blame the Cosmos, I reckon! ;)

If you read my story, I repeated many days and many entire weeks over the course of the six years (yes, SIX YEARS) it took me to be able to run half an hour. So, I hope you're only very temporarily deflated; you WILL get there, and set-backs are just part of the process. Go, Nictwit, go! xo
