W5r1! Did it with no problems, not out of breath, just feel like a lumbering elephant 🐘, especially when a lithe gazelle ran past me. 1Β° out there this morning but no rain β˜” or wind πŸƒ. Feeling good!

Don’t worry about other folk and you do not look,or sound like an elephant at all I can assure you

You’re doing it! Relax and have fun. You only need to go very steady, no hurry or pressure. Just tick off each session and be glad you nailed it

This programme is life-changing so stick with it πŸ˜ƒπŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸ‘

The fact is Elephants can cover amazing distances if they choose to and....can, if they choose to, run at 25 mph....so;

You were out there... you wee running... you did wonderfully...go you... and go the gazelles too...each to their own.

This is your journey... doing it your way...brilliant:)

Favourite quote for this from me..

" Comparison is the thief of joy".

Be joyful :)

So true. Spent my whole life comparing myself. You would think I would have learnt by now. Thank you for reminder and encouragement.

Ahhhh this is how I feel! On my W4R2 my very bouncy, gazelle like running neighbour bounded past me.....it put me on a bit of a downer.

Nice to know I'm not the only one feeling like a bit of a plodder πŸ˜‚

Us plodders get there, our mile is the same as a gazelle's . difference is we get to see the scenery

And maybe the gazelle feels like a plodder. Later in my run I did see gazelle again and she had allowed down.

I was lucky enough to see an elephant in the wild and the ranger asked us if we all felt able to cover a certain distance with just 5 seconds warning. We all looked shocked and said no and then he said well that's how long we have to get over that bank if that elephant charges at us.

So not only do they go fast, they cover long distances. And you will too, in time. Oh just another thing - in the wild gazelles get eaten! Elephants rarely so. Great achievement happy running for rest of W5.

Being a plodder is fine. Plodders will finish the sessions πŸ˜ƒπŸ‘πŸƒβ€β™€οΈ
