Since my post about my disaster run which was more of a real emotional low than physical... I've kept going. 2 runs of sprint/jog intervals totaling 4K on the treddy during the week and 1 outside long run at the weekend. Beat my 6K time which was nice. Clocked in at about 40 minutes. Still slower than I want, but getting there. Might consolidate the 6K as it's a nice distance, or might try a 7K this weekend.
Hope you're all getting out there still in this miserable chill and enjoying yourselves. Happy running

Overheating is my main problem with treadmill running!
Being in the cold does not so much bother me as being inside away from the cold and mustering the motivation to go into the cold, if that makes sense? I am just ready for it to warm up a bit now. Bit fed up with the cold, the damp, the dark, they grey...
I really struggled on the treadmill last time I used it. I had sweat rolling off my forehead and into my eyes, which stings like crazy and doesn't help at all! I'm not too keen on running in the damp, but for my run last night it was just how I like it, with a chill in the air and a clear sky with the stars shining brightly
6k in 40 minutes is good. It took me 53.
I'm glad you're pushing on with the running, and hope you feel better emotionally now.
I shall be out there this afternoon. It's 1degree feels like -2 according to my phone. It was snowing earlier, but it hasn't settled and the pavements look dry, so I shall hopefully bundle up and risk it. Just a short 20-30 minutes after my 6k on Sunday.
Not too far. Chipping Norton. It's always colder here because highest Cotswolds town. Several degrees colder than Oxford at any given time. I should imagine you have similar where you are?
