Transition Outside

I have just completed week 8, and moving into week 9 this week. So far all my runs have been on a treadmill, but I am off on holiday on Friday for 10 days, so if I am to complete the program my final run will need to be outside whilst i'm way.

Has anybody done their first outside run as their graduation run and how easy was it to achieve. I'm researching some routes before I go, and hope to complete it.

Many find moving outdoors quite difficult because for the first time they have to control their pace themselves, cope with uneven ground, wind, hills and all the other things that make running outdoors more fun than treadmills. I think you might end up disappointing yourself if you try to make your graduation run your first outdoor run.

All that said, if you have had your treadmill set to a gradient, as recommended, then it may just be a breeze. Why not give it a go before you reach that crucial run, which you want to remember for good reasons.
