Told my world!

So after running week 4 run 1 I've signed up to a virtual run to raise funds for Kicks Count charity. It's not until April and I can run the 5k in stages rather than one run, although that is my aim! But I've announced my intention on Facebook too so my world now know I have the running bug and that I will do this! 😊

Firstly well done on committing to a virtual run so early in your journey, but i'm sure this will be a great aid in encouraging you out of the door. It may be a good thing for others to try too.

Out of interest as I have never tried one myself, how much of the money paid actually goes to the charity? I was put off when I looked at one someone else did where they paid £15 essentially for the medal as only a tiny fraction went to the good cause. I would like to sign up to something myself if it is worthwhile(I am already doing a 10k for charity in april mind you)/

Hi thank you. It's a charity that means a lot to me. All of my registration goes to Kicks Count and I can then raise funds on top through sponsor too. I can get a bunni medal, as it is bunnies for babies, if I send in my mapmyrun screenshot but I will be happy just running it and raising awareness. I want to do the run for life in July and a Park run in October. I found out the harsh way that life is short so I have loads of incentive. 😊
