Today was my 3rd run post graduation and took Michael Johnson out with me yet again! 😂 I find his voice comforting and like being told how much I’ve run and when I’ll be finished!

Are there any apps that you use that can tell you you’ve done 30mins or distance (speak to you) while playing own music?

Yeah there are quite a few Endomondo. I went on to,c25k Stepping Stones after finishing Couch 25k. Then it’s over to Our very own Ju-JU for Ten is the magic number programme 🙂

Mr Smooth is the man to keep you going. I graduated in August last year, but every so often, I put him in my ears, as he keeps me going, so I well understand the appeal.

MapMyRun lets you listen to music on iTunes/Spotify etc - and you can choose your prompts, and also delay the distance monitoring by 5 minutes to allow for your warm up walk.

She is a bit lacking in personality but Mechanical Voice Lady on MMR keeps you on track.

As misswobble says.. C25K+ podcasts are useful..

They are great for building up and moving forward and very structured:)

Hi Vish

As you know I'm a new runner, like you, but I've started using the basic level of Strava. She tells you every time you complete 500m with total and split times, and last km pace. What I've found useful is that I always exceed the 30 minutes because I wait for her next announcement. I'm still below 5km but I usually exceed 4km with this method.

Let us know what you choose - I haven't tried any others, yet.

And I thought I was the only one who had those thoughts about MJ! Only 2 runs left to complete the programme and I just know that wk9 will just be repeated 😊
