13 months and 2 days actually since I started C25K and I can honestly says it is the best thing I ever did. I started it to become more active, to help my weight loss & reduce my risk of type 2 diabetes & heart disease, both of which I have a strong family history. It also helps with keeping me sane & far less anxious & means I sleep right through the night, well mostly.

When I graduated, I used to fret about distance & pace; would I be able to run without Michael Johnson telling me how well I was doing, would I ever be able to run 5K & if I could, would I do it in 30 mins? Well, 11 months since graduating I can say yes, I can run without Michael Johnson, can run 5K & without stopping some days. I no longer fret about distance, pace or time when running, I run for as long as I like & as far as I like; running is “me time” with no pressures & I love it. I may never get to 10k but who knows? I never thought I would run 5K but here I am doing it.

Thanks to everyone on this forum for their never ending support, I don’t think I would have got through the programme without you. Here’s to the next 13 months & beyond x
