So this morning saw me run W3R2, it is the first time I have really connected with the run and found it rather easy. I ran much further than W3R1 two days ago. On non-run days I have been spending time on the exercise bike in an extra attempt to loose weight.
I've not lost that much weight as yet however by body fat is dropping and my clothes are starting to feel looser. To top that I have a basic health check at work every year, which was carried out yesterday. Upon comparing my results with last year both my resting heart rate and blood pressure have dropped fairly substantially as has my body fat %.
I'm convinced had I not been doing C25K plus the exercise bike then my stats would have been similar to last year.
All in all I'm a happy bunny. I hope this can be of some inspiration to others too.
Yay! Good for you. Dont run any further than the session dictates. C25k is about finishing, nothing else. You can speed up further down the line when you get stronger with all that cross training you're doing
Thanks, I've not done more running than the program dictated, I'm happy with the pace the program is at and know each session sets me up for the next. I didn't intentionally speed up today, perhaps I was running especially slow on Wednesday. Today just felt really good while I was out.
No but the size I was it is inevitable that by doing some exercise and eating more healthily some weight would come off, which it has.
I'm really happy with the program, I think it was about this time in the program I gave up when I first tried it in 2014. I don't remember why I stopped but I'm certainly not stopping this time.
It is the mood benefits that i love as well as getting fit. And I'm a stubborn thing if I put my mind to some thing but that sense of achievement of running for 30 minutes straight by April is going to be amazing! π
