Hi there and welcome to, What is your Week ? January (2)
Hopefully, lots of you will be joining in with this; it is a great support to everyone.
The idea of, "What is your Week" ?
Every week we are going to put up a post, so you can add in a little post underneath, to say what week you are planning to do this week.
Sample post (feel free to put as much or as little as you like)
“Hi I am Oldfloss, and this week, I am doing Week 1, and really looking forward to it.”
We are growing so much at the moment and Realfoodieclub wanted to have a little fun post ,so we can see who is on what week of the programme, and hopefully it will help everyone to feel more included on the forum.
It will help other runners to know they are not alone with their weeks, and help everyone feel supported.
Please remember it doesn't matter if you stay on the same week for a while, that is fine; it is a journey and it really doesn't matter how long it takes, it will be so worth it when you get to the final run.
At the end of the month there will be a Certificate for you to download and keep; just a little memento of the fact you have completed a whole month of the program. Another full month of running for you.
If you have just graduated, this will be a great place to keep you motivated, there is always the Quest on the Bridge to 10k forum as well for graduates.
I will add all the names from this week under this post. Every week for the month of January the names will roll over into another post.
Let's get a good list going so we can support each other.
(Come on you lurkers, you can do it as well. ?)
Wishing you all a happy healthy week.

Hi 👋🏻I’m Hephzibah and I’m in Week 6. Found run 1 harder than expected, especially after the 20mins of Week 5 Run 3 - but looking forward to getting Run 2 under my belt tomorrow (hopefully!)
Thanks! Wk6R2 down - didn’t feel remotely in the mood but knew I’d feel good after - and I do! R3 now looming at the end of the week but feeling less pressure to complete it the first time and looking forward to seeing if I can.
Thank you Oldfloss! Week 6 Run 3 first thing tomorrow morning before work. Really hoping to kick the day off with a win... looking forward and nervous in equal measure... 🙈
Hi-I’m nellie257 and I graduated last month on holiday.
Despite a shocking viral infection at Christmas I’ve managed to continue consolidating my 5kms and have signed up to a half marathon in May (can’t believe I’ve agreed to this but a friend asked me to do it with her). I’m looking to gradually increase my distance over the next 4 weeks before I start training 👟👟👟
I completed w8r2 today. I will only be able to go for run 3 on Saturday now. I’m thinking of a shorter run on Wednesday (20mins) before work if I can get the ok for a late start at work.
Hi, I'm on week 8 this week and now have my two children on bicycles (age 4 and 7) to keep me going on these longer runs - shouts of "keep going momma" are great motivation :0)
I graduated a few weeks ago and so far have managed to keep up my runs 3 times per weeks. Have also taken up yoga daily which seems to be good for stretching and strengthening. It's still too taxing right now to find relaxing however 🤣
Am working on getting my speed up so I can do 5km in under 30, but once I get there (and have proved it's not a fluke), I'm going to start working on increasing my distance, probably with Ju Ju's Magic 10 plan.
Two runs each week on the treadmill (one down this week, one to go) and one run in the great outdoors on the weekend.
Hi I'm Claire and I've just ran week 2 run 1 today. I'm so chuffed that I was able to jog for 90 seconds! I will do the rest of week 2 and start doing the stretch exercises on my rest days too. I'm considering signing up for a fun run in April....
This week I'm doing Week 9/10 of 10K from the 10K runner app. Am a little daunted as w10d1 has 5 x 10 mins runs and I don't think I have ever run for this long before, but that's the point isn't it ...? Am looking at incorporating strength training after the runs as well, although this may be a bit full on.
Hi I’m Buddie and I graduated last November. This week I’m running 2 x 30 mins and 1 x 35 mins.... I want to try and increase my stamina and strength with the aim of eventually reaching 5k 🏃♀️🏃♀️
I graduated in Nov too and am just trying out the C25K + podcasts for a bit of variety - they're well worth a look and you get to hang out with Laura again (if you ran with her first time around).
I’m in week 1 and just completed run 2. I was worried about fitting in 3 a week but after a successful evening run I think I might be able to fit them in. 🏃🏻♀️😬
Having internet problems and a busy week at work, but I finished W8R2 yesterday and I actually enjoyed it. Won't get out again before Saturday but have my route planned and my kit in the washing machine.
Hi I'm ForAlice and would like to join this group.
I have just started C25K at week 4 as I have been running a little bit before. Have done 2 runs so far this week and enjoyed them - looking forward to building up to 5k but have some arthritis in my knee so need to find the best distance for me to run without causing pain afterwards.
Also started the strength and flex programme - started in at week 1.
So..... I’m happy to say I managed to run 3 times this week! 2 x 30 mins and 1 x 35 mins. I also tried out the Stamina Podcast for the first time... it was tough but I found it really helpful 👍. My legs are tired today... but looking forward to another week of my running journey 🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️
R1 week 3 another run in cold drizzle but sticking to it so far and have entered a 6.5k run in March to keep me motivated to continue. Enjoying it despite rubbish weather!
