Hi everyone! Looking forward to receiving support and motivation from you all!
I’ve decided to get myself 10k fit this year. My son has Cystic Fibrosis and I try to do something each year to raise funds and awareness. He’s 7 now and I’m 40 and getting a soft around the edges! The healthiest people with CF are those who have a fitness regime, so I need to inject fitness as normal and enjoyable.
To be honest I’ve always known, since he was diagnosed that my lifestyle would need to change and I’ve been putting it off.
So here we go! First run done last night and I felt great after! (With the exception of the last hill on my route).
If I can keep up a 3 runs a week culture, it will go somewhere towards helping George have a fitness lifestyle and keep him healthy for longer.
Oh, and I’ll do a fundraiser fun run to raise funds this year! What more motivation do I need? 😬

Well done completing your first run, especially as you added a hill into your route. I completed my 2nd run last night...sans hill. Enjoy your journey.
Well done for the challenge and starting the programme! It's a great idea. If you started the C25K programme with a hilly route, and the wind, not much can stop you Enjoy your runs and good luck with your fundraising.
All of this side of Birmingham/Black Country involves hills, no getting away from it. There was a time it would be an excuse, but you have to get past it and just do it!
