Im running well but at the very end im feeling sick, this has only been on the last 2 runs, which are a bit tough, but within my capabilities. Im eating the right stuff at the right times ?? Any ideas of what I can do ? Im running 5km in 30+ minutes.

Try slowing down a tad & sucking a mint or having a couple of Rennie's just before you run can help..

As a much younger man I used to regularly throw-up at the end of cycle races (club time trials) basically cos it was 100% effort all the way for 25 miles and then 110% over the last couple of miles to the line etc.

Maybe you could try dialling it back a few notches?

You probably are running too fast. Try slowing down, and then slow some more.

If you are eating before a run allow plenty of time to digest.

You should spend 70-80% of your running time at an easy pace, at which you can very easily hold a conversation. This is what the pros do, so it should be good enough for us recreational runners.

I would almost guarantee that solves your problem.

Forget about speed for most of your running and you will enjoy yourself more.

Another thing you could try is increasing your fluid intake a bit, not right before your run, but several hours before to make sure you are well hydrated. There is no science behind this suggestion, but I sometimes feel nauseous at the end of a run if I haven't drunk enough the day before (I run first thing in the morning) or if the weather is very hot ( I live in Australia and find running in the summer quite a challenge).

I used to do this too! I threw up at the end of my first two races - once, just as the lady was trying to hand me my medal. You’re almost certainly running too hard so definitely down a bit. For me, it meant not attempting a sprint finish unless I wanted to be caught on camera vomming at the finish line! 🙈
