Are you looking to do the couch to 5k program or looking for general weight loss help, either way you’ll find loads of help. Well done for making the decision to lose weight, good luck on your journey!

I'll second the slimming world suggestion. It's a diet that teaches you to eat healthily without counting calories and it's not fad based but common sense based. I lost 3st on it and started following c25k again towards the end of that as I didn't just want to lose weight but also to get fitter. So by all means start c25k, it is amazing but eating healthily in a controlled way is your key to managing your weight.

Along with changing my diet, thinking about what I'm eating and completing c25k I've lost 2 stone since June

I’ll second the slimming world suggestion - not a diet but more a healthy eating plan where you aren’t denied anything. The c25k will of course help but you may not lose weight from that alone. On the upside the mental benefits you will get from running will only help you in your weight loss journey. If you want to build your willpower, discipline, sense of achievement and just generally feel awesome a few times a week then c25k will defo help with that. You are at the start of a journey but the good news is it only gets better from here!

Welcome 😃. I lost over 4.5 Stones with WW and running. Kept it off for 7 years

You lose weight gradually. Same with learning to run. Ditch junk foods and eat healthy stuff Move more in general. I cut out boozing completely too

You can turn things round completely but you have to be disciplined. It’s well worth it though 🙂👍

I’m on slimming world and just completed C25K..... I’ve lost 5 and half stone so far!!!! Also 3.5lbs over Christmas!!! I even went for a jog Christmas morning. Don’t worry about what people think honestly I am a big girl and no-one has ever battered at eye lid. The only comment I get is ‘morning’ haha to which I’m usually so out of breath I just try and smile.

It’s not going to be an easy diet. I’d say focus on your weight loss with slimming world for at least a month then start!!

And remember weight loss is 80% diet so you can’t go running and think oh sod it I’ll have that pizza or chocolate! I’ve been there and you just pile it on.

Good luck you can do it!
