From scared to death to pleased as punch :)

Having not run for 12 days, slipped on the ice walking to the shops landing on my backside and having an awful head cold all week decided to have a go at running again. Didn't know if I should carry on with W9 or go back a couple of weeks but gave it a go....could always go back if I couldn't manage it.

Was scared to death about slipping on ice as the last thing I need a week beforeChristmas is a broken bone somewhere. Started extremely cautiously and thought however long I manage to run with ice around is an achievement in itself. Couldn't believe I was still plodding along when MJ told me I'd done 20 minutes! as I still felt fairly comfortable and when it was a minute to go managed to up the pace a bit. When he said I'd done 30 minutes I punched the air.....pleased as punch is an understatement. If it wasn't so early in the day I'd have a celebration drink. Bring on R3 and graduation. :)

Really, really well done..!!

I've not run for 12 days either and I'm planning to head out shortly. If my run is as good as yours I'll be having a celebratory drink regardless of the time..!! 😂

Well done! You have taken away my worries about having a 5 day gap between W9R2 and R3 (life is getting in the way at the moment). I will keep your post in mind when I head out on Friday (and cross my fingers I also finish as pleased as punch!)
