Having not run for 12 days, slipped on the ice walking to the shops landing on my backside and having an awful head cold all week decided to have a go at running again. Didn't know if I should carry on with W9 or go back a couple of weeks but gave it a go....could always go back if I couldn't manage it.
Was scared to death about slipping on ice as the last thing I need a week beforeChristmas is a broken bone somewhere. Started extremely cautiously and thought however long I manage to run with ice around is an achievement in itself. Couldn't believe I was still plodding along when MJ told me I'd done 20 minutes! as I still felt fairly comfortable and when it was a minute to go managed to up the pace a bit. When he said I'd done 30 minutes I punched the air.....pleased as punch is an understatement. If it wasn't so early in the day I'd have a celebration drink. Bring on R3 and graduation.

I've not run for 12 days either and I'm planning to head out shortly. If my run is as good as yours I'll be having a celebratory drink regardless of the time..!! 😂
Well done! You have taken away my worries about having a 5 day gap between W9R2 and R3 (life is getting in the way at the moment). I will keep your post in mind when I head out on Friday (and cross my fingers I also finish as pleased as punch!)
