If you don't know what I'm on about, it's either because you haven't reached Week Eight yet, or you don't use the Laura podcasts. I'll never be able to run that same stretch of my route without hearing in my mind the strange/wacky track about Juuleee. But it's all been part of the great fun I've had running with Laura and her dodgy music. I shall remember it all with great affection long after Week Eight (and Nine) are history.
Oh, and I did the Week Eight runs just fine. Not easy by any means, and really stretched me, but as always, last week prepared me for this week, and this week has been preparing me for (gulp) Week Nine. The knee is holding up just fine.

Those using the app are not considered, by us old timers, to be real C25K graduates, simply because they have not had to endure the most annoying earworm ever devised.
Don't worry, in a month or two you will hardly remember it........unless you have post traumatic flashbacks.
My version of the C25K app just has the four celeb choices and you run your own music in the background (Spotify, radio 4 whatever you like) so the mention of Laura has befuddled me. However I've just listened to a W9 podcast with Laura and had to fast forward after the first 6 minutes. Well done to anyone that's managed to get along with Laura and that gratingly annoying music, really you're showing true grit...I don't think I would have got past week 1!
Wait until you hear the Techno Cossack dance track early in next weeks podcast. It’s something else!
I’ve had a couple of runs with the C25K + podcasts since graduating last week. They have the lovely Laura but boring generic dance music. And I do miss my Julie...
lol You're all being unfair to poor Laura! I actually enjoy running to those tracks I would never even consider listening back home (umm, perhaps Julie actually : they help mewith the pace but then I'm also too lazy for the moment to set my own playlist. I must say you're right: the Julie thing is difficult to get rid of even when you've stopped running. Well done anyway for putting up with the music and doing great on the programme. Graduation soon and you'll be able to run without Laura!
But I've always enjoyed running with Laura, and her music. Actually, the thought of running without Laura sounds a bit too lonely to me. But I have a plan. Revealed next week.
I graduated with Julie. Then on my first 10 k run I had my tunes on shuffle. Ended up graduating 10k to Julie by Take That! Couldnt believe it but it did make me chuckle!
Week nine, best tune of the programme, big band sound right near the end of your run. “Listen.....original business”🎶🎶.. it will really lift you. Truly!
