wow, first run Week 4.

I am always a bit anxious at the beginning of a new week and this week even more so. The only difficulty was that I had to run up the only hill on my usual route. I have been able to negotiate it in a walking phase up till now. It was more demanding but not awful. The sections on the flat were very doable as long as I kept it slow. I am just about to book a 5 K run in Battersea park !!!!!

You are obviously doing well, go you! 😄

I hope your 5k is a little way off so you are being kind to yourself.

Yes ! It's January 6th so I will have finished the programme by then. I hope that's not too much of a challenge

Sounds good - I have just got to 5k a few days after finishing the program and I am new to running at the age of 58.

Enjoy 😄

Well done.

Take on board that the programme works and that there is no need for anxiety as you move on.

A good positive attitude and self belief is half the battle.

I'm not used to that in life! Running teaches you more than getting fitter.

If you thought it was just about getting fitter, be warned, your life may change beyond all recognition.

All for the good, though.

Well done! Be confident: you're getting fitter and fitter, that's the key to the programme. Enjoy your runs!

Well done you hills can be quite a thing and most of try and avoid them, especially during the programme. But they are great for giving you strength. Happy running in W4
