Clicking into place

It's been 6 weeks since I graduated C25K and at times I've found it tough, struggling a bit with aches, pains and energy levels, but the last two weeks have seen everything click into place.

Last Saturday I attempted my first 5K and managed it quite comfortably in just over 35 minutes. I was chuffed with that. This week I missed two runs as work got in the way, but went out again this morning and did 5K in 32:37 - two and a half minutes quicker than last week! I took it easy, had an escape plan in case I felt I couldn't complete it, but I felt good and even managed to up the pace for the last 200 metres.

So, if anyone else is struggling after graduating, stick at it - i don't know how but it does seem to come together eventually.

Consolidation at the5k or 30 minutes level really does help and so too does rest. It's not always necessary to keep on at it as your experience shows. Well done you on taking out such a chunk of time on that distance
