Hello. Up to week 7 all was well – then I got a little derailed – too much travel for work, had flu, the cold starting etc – and now I just can't seem to get back to the same energy: I am running three times a week still but keep stopping to walk for short periods.
I don't think I physically need to, it's more of a mental thing ... some motivation slipping with the end in sight? not quite sure. Advice anyone?

Probably you are not physically back up to full power... Just pick up your shoes, head out... and slow down... take it gently.. relax into the runs..no pressure.
Look around and think how far you have come... let your newly found running legs take you along
Hi Lizzy, only just seen this post when I searched members near me 😊’
I’ve found that this programme is as much about PMA as the physical side. I’m on week 9 now and since W6 I’ve found myself digging deep mentally to get thru it! My breathing will be OK and there wouldn’t be too much physical pain but my brain would be screaming at me to stop! 😖
Make sure you’re exercising on rest days to build up your stamina, be positive when you go out and keep your run at a pace you can sustain....if you’re getting short of breath, you’re going to quick...slow down!
I struggled to run for a minute in W1 now I’m running 5k so the programme works 😊
