So excited to make it to W9! Made it home from work in time to do most of the run in daylight so decided to go for it! Found it tougher than expected but managed it - my first 30 minute run ever. Bit disappointed with my distance of 4.4k but I can work on that. Also need to get a long sleeved running top for this winter weather - brrr! Any recommendations? 🏃🏼‍♀️

Yeay! Well done you. You are very close now, the end is in sight! Don’t be put off by distance although I know it is easier said than done. Running for 30 mins is your goal and you’ve done it! The speed will come, I have already increased my pace (slightly!) just achieving and maintaining the 30 mins is what’s important.

As for me, I bought a Nike Dry Fit long sleeve top, the Dry Fit range works well for me. Sports Direct 👍🏻 I wore it today and rolled the sleeves up when too hot. I have a jacket too but to be honest I can’t see me ever wearing it. I can’t stand being hot.

Well done to you and enjoy your next two runs xx

Thank you - I’ll get myself down to Sports Direct! Like you, I can’t stand being too hot. Congratulations on your graduation by the way! 🎉🎉

Well done..!! Feels great to be at this point, doesn't it..?? Don't be disappointed with the distance, that will come in time. I just keep it going, slothly but surely. I have a long way to go to build my stamina and speed.

Just 2 more runs for both of us. Good luck..!! 🤗

Well done in your run. 30 minutes is an awesome achievement ...remember when it was just 1 minute running then after a walk you were told to run again and you thought you couldn't do it. This is such an amazing programme to get us all running 30 minutes. And 4.4 k is a great distance. I am a few weeks post graduation and now just try to maintain 30 min running 3 times a week. One of those is parkrun and I know warm up then run the whole 5k. My next goal ice set myself is to keep running through the cold dark winter and to get under 30 mins for my park run. I may or may not make that but just feel incredibly proud each week as I run the whole 5k!! Everyone's journey is their own. Enjoy yours and remember "slow and steady"!!...I often say that to myself as I plod along wondering if I can make it today! Happy running. Enjoy the last 2 runs and celebrate graduation, remembering the journey and what you've achieved.

Forgot to say about long sleeved tops...I have a couple from primary. Great if you need to watch the pennies..I wear mine over short sleeve and take off and tie round waist when hot!! I still find the "what to wear" in the cold and rainy difficult!!!
