This week has been really hard because of the drop in temperature and I have only warmed up towards the end of my runs.I thought about doing a longer warm up but physically don't think I could complete the run if I used up more energy before I started .The cold has really affected me. I have asthma and my chest hurts in the cold , so after seeing advice on here I bought a buff, with that on I feel like I'm being suffocated, I can't win.
So today I have reluctantly purchased a treadmill, I think this will be better for the colder days but I am disappointed because I really like running outside.

Hey well done for coming this far and coping with the stupid weather! Please don't stress about treadmill running. I suspect it's kinder to your joints, and certainly warmer, and you can always go outside for a run if it's a nice day, you have not left the outdoors forever!!
That could so easily have made you put the plan on hold for the winter, so really well done for not giving up. You're soooo close now!
Hey! Weather isn't stupid, good or bad, it just is. It's all about how we prepare and respond. We survived for this long hence we must be doing something right, no?
Lots of stretching first will help and that won't cause too much exertion, in case you do fancy getting out when it's not bone-achingly freezing that is!
