Well I've made it so far and not going to lie I've had to push myself to go straight out of the door when home from work in the dark.... but I did it and so pleased with myself.

The diet going great and lost 9lb in total in the three weeks I've been doing this programme, I could have so easily had a chinese for tea and I know if I hadn't done the run I would have caved.

I am so chuffed with myself, each week has improved my stamina, it's not the breathing that kills, that has been fine to be honest the more I am doing. It's the shin pain, but I'm hoping this gets better.

Bring on wk 4 🤗

I was in agony from my lower legs in the first few weeks! Still have niggles but nowhere as bad. I'm only in Wk6 so it has improved quite quickly. For me it was drinking lots of water, regularly through the day, every day. Also stretch well before & after, slow right down (it really helps!) & if still no joy, compressions sleeves on my calves have worked for me. Well done on your running & your weight loss, you're doing amazing - you got this!

Great advice, exactly what I was about to say. And well done, Kazzybe. You are showing true grit and determination and it is paying off!

Thank you, I am trying to drink lots of water as helping with weight loss as well. Will look into compression sleeves, I need to invest in some running gear.

I don't think compression sleeves work for everyone, I need to try running without them now I have a few weeks under my belt but I think it's psychological now that they keep the pain away!

As the weeks go on it vwill get easier & you do get to the stage you actually want to go out!! Took me a while😂. You are doing fantastic 9lbs is amazing!! In 3 weeks certainly running & healthy eating works!! This really is a great program and works so hang on in there & read liads of posts & keep posting . Loads of good advise & slow & steady does it, nind to stretch after runs & i always treat myself to a long soak in the bath afterwards. Going luck & enjoy😊

I do need to add my stretches before and after as I keep forgetting and a long soak sounds good.

Yes the road to failure is littered with excuses but you are showing great determination and grit -- well done

The stretches will help both before and after and when running take it slow and steady but sounds like you're doing great
