W3R3 done and feeling proud of myself. I've yet to fall in love with running but, strangely, on my rest days I do miss not doing it. Maybe I'll have an epiphany once the runs get longer and I can actually run rather than jog, who knows π€

W3R3
Reading various posts it seems like people have very different experiences: some fall hard and quickly others take time or stay ambivalent. I love the moments when my mind drifts and I run unselfconsciously. I love the feeling of achievement when a run is done. I love the changes in my body over the past few weeks. I love the 'me time' that the programme gives. I love feeling in control of my fitness. I love running through fields with my dog whatever the weather. I love feeling STRONG.
(There are things I'm not fond of too but I'll save that for another time!)
My dog seems to be undecided too! She loves going out but I think she's a bit put out by the fact she can't just go off and sniff around all the time but has to do some stints of jogging. She's one of the reasons I started this journey as I'm keen to try out Canicross with her but we both need to be a bit fitter first. I currently jog round the playing field at the back of the house but hoping once I can actually run and, now the evenings are lighter, we can run up to the 'proper' fields we usually walk through and she can run and sniff to her hearts content once I let her off.
Sounds like you are pretty much where I want to be in the future π
Ooh, sounds like running is starting to bite you! It did me and now I'm out of commission, I'm really missing it! ππ’πͺ
I know what you mean. I think I love it but the physical exertion is preventing from from getting lost in my head. At the moment I just repeatedly think 'get to the next hedge/lamppost etc' until Jo Whiley cuts in saying 'only another minute'. Grrr what's that all about? Please only cut in to say I can slow to a walk!
But the feeling of achievement when it's over is so worth it and I must be getting better! Just remember to keep it slow...
