Running shop???

Due to my excessive weight, dodgy joints and plantar fasciitis I want to invest in a pair of running shoes suited to me. At the moment I’m plodding around in a pair of trainers I’ve had for years. I’m struggling to find a specialist shop near to where I live (North Staffordshire) I know this forum is international so it’s a long shot but does anyone know a good shop in West Midlands / North West England? I don’t mind travelling a bit.

Try Run Forest in Matlock, Mike is very good and will make sure you get the right pair of trainers.

I got some trail shoes from Derby Runner. Good price as they were earlier models. They run a shop, but they are runners themselves and organise local races. They will take time and care to get you suited, as will Runforest in Matlock 🙂

I'm going to Run Forest tomorrow morning for gait analysis. And cake. They have fantastic cake.
