W6R1 - half of it done yesterday

It was nice sunshine and quite warm after my work, so after 2 rest days I took my dog and off we went. We managed to do a little over half of it when my beloved furry friend decided to disappear causing huge stress and breaking my training. She found some path to the canal route to have a chill in water. However, she didn't come back after few minutes, as she always does. I went searching for her and couldn't find her. The story ended well. After approx 10-15min of searching we found each other. I will never know who was more stressed me or her. Hopefully it was the first and last time she scared us so much and she will go back to paying attention where I am.

We finished with some more walking and jogging to home. No idea how much we did, as I stopped my tracker when I was searching for her.

I will repeat that run without my dog, as during previous run (when she got lost) she hurt her paw / ankle. Hopefully, I will run tomorrow after 1 rest day, as my legs feel quite good.

Enjoy your day fellow runners!

Urgh, dogs can be a pain! I stopped running with my Springer Spaniel after he somehow charged into the back of my legs and sent me flying so I ended up on my bum in a muddy puddle (no word of a lie, and not just once, but TWICE!). Then he had the audacity to look back at me in an accusing way as if to say, “What ARE you doing - you trod on me!!” Good Job I’m not a girl who uses violence or flowery language! He now stays at home and I walk him afterwards!

Sounds like a painful landing. We started to run some time ago, very slowly learning how not to kill each other ;) It was slow learning process outside of my running sessions. Now she is quite ok with running on a special running lead (the bungee lead that I clip on my waist). She is also quite good with staying close to me (not next to me) during running without lead, but sometimes decides to have a small detour. Unfortunately this time was long and she got confused with some bushes.

This week's goal was to run at least 2 times, and I've already run twice :) For now it doesn't matter how long, how good, etc. What matters for me is that I am going out there and running, getting back to the running habit and slowly strengthening my legs.
