1 week to go - W8R3

Have just finished W8R3 and have sat down to have a gentle sob. I may have three more runs to go but I feel great and healthy and happy. Bank holiday Monday at the end of May I had a heart attack, I didn't know and collapsed at work the next day (heart attacks in women can be very different in men so symptoms are not always easy to spot). 1 stent, 5 months later, lifestyle overall and here I am running for 28 minutes and enjoying it.......mostly. For those of you struggling with whatever run you're on you can do it, keep going and make running your selfish time (or as my son likes to say my shellfish time).

Wow - how brave you've been. Amazing to hear about your journey and couldn't agree more about 'selfish' time. Good luck in WK 9😊

Morning EB43 and well done for the journey travelled so far, the graduation run is near 😁. I understand why you’ve shed a few tears and acknowledged your past and old lifestyle BUT I think now is the time to celebrate and congratulate yourself for the fantastic changes you have made 🙂 don’t you agree? I bet your son does 😊. I’m so pleased for you and knowing this group on here I think I speak for lots of us ‘well done’

These are for you 🙌🏽😘🙌🏽😘🙌🏽😘🙌🏽😘

Thank you...and yes I am proud and a bit like the running it's one foot in front of the other forwards not backwards. Definitely.

I'm hoping that little sob was tears of pride and achievement.

To have come so far after what you have gone through is an enormous achievement.

We are all here for our own journeys and it sound like you are making the most of yours.

Fantastic.

1 week to go !

Your son must be very proud of his lovely mum for helping herself back to a healthy, happy place.😊

We know this program works and is doable...but we also know it takes grit and determination...

Keep going EB, you are an inspiration 😊xx

Well done you this is amazing news and fair play for taking matters into your own hands and changing your life. Much love and support coming for us! Keep at it x

Really well done to you. X

Well done EB for grabbing the nettle and getting out there after what must have been a shock. My W8R3 tomorrow - might be a bit dark next week for week 9 but so looking forward anyway. Go for gold - enjoy the runs and the “me time”.

Oh well done you! Totally empathise. I can remember stripping the bed a few months ago, and actually crying with the joy of physically being able to do it once more. You just want a normal life after illness - so feeling healthy and happy is the most enormous joy.

Good luck next week - I hope the sun shines on each run for you. x
