Lovely mild evening, nice steady run. My Strava says 5.4k, but my Samsung health app says 6.1k???? What's all that about?

Tech gremlins, mate!! They’re tricky little blighters!!

Lots of people seem to have these tech gremlins recently. Whichever it is, I’m guessing you had a great run 🏃👍

I think there is something off with tech this week.
Seen a lot of posts saying that the apps aren’t recording or giving conflicting info.
My run tonight on Strava was 3.9km with 7:14m/km and my Fitbit recorded 3.34km at 8:12m/km... obviously the Fitbit is off 🤔😂

It happens.
I have a GPS running watch and a GPS enabled phone running Runkeeper. Most of the time they are fairly close and occasionally they will agree, but the weirdest occurrence I had was when the Runkeeper announced each kilometre about 50metres short of the watch, so that the disparity grew as the run went on. There was a difference of over 500metres by the end of the run...........mystery.

Now I'm suddenly understanding why you seem so fast...

Ha, my Samsung health app is always a bit too generous, I trust Strava much more.
A nice 5.4k Martin.Good work 😊x

Snap. Samsung Health auto recording in the background is much more generous with distance and speed than Strava for me too. I'm using a Samsung Galaxy A3. I don't know if the disparity is phone dependent. I'm looking at Strava so as not to get overconfident!

I don't rate the Samsung readings, my last run that I posted displayed that I had a pace of 7km, nooooo way haha. I'd be as fast as you then Martin 😂😂 you'd be pulling my ponytail to keep me back 🤣
I trust my Fitbit as far as a recognised keeper goes. Strava can. Be unpredictable too, but it's not too bad overall. I love the Relive on there now xx

Blooming tech!!! Never mind, you were our there doing your thing, brilliantly done whatever the stats 😉
