Starting Week 6 tomorrow. I was wondering why it goes back to interval running? I know it must work but seems strange. I’m guessing it’s to build up to another longer run next week?

Look at the total moving time, not just running time.............unless of course you can do a five minute brisk walk without any energy expenditure.

Don't question..........it works.

No idea why, but I was soooo happy to make that discovery this morning! Amazing how easy 8 mins felt - 4 weeks ago I would have been sure that I could never do that. 😀

Don’t be fooled i was amazed at how hard week6r1 was as I thought it would be a breeze after 20mins continuous run! This program is amazing & works unfortunately i had a break after I graduated but im back again on w5r2 tomorrow so ive still to deal with week6 again😂. Just enjoy you are nearly on that podium 👍

I've just finished Wk4 & realised that it's 21.5 minutes in total (+ warm up/down) & as there's very little difference btw by fast walk & my 'run' I'm assuming I will be ready for a 20 minute 'run' by the end of next week...gulp! On that basis I think you're right that it goes back to intervals as prep for Wk7? Think it's best not to question & just go with it! I'm sure you'll smash it 💪🏃🏽‍♀️☺

You will be ready. You’re doing all the preparation so you will be fine 👍 I am just going to go with it tomorrow. I’ve been sticking to the plan religiously so I’m going to do what it tells me and hope I can do it. 😀

Most people question this but you’ve prob answered your own question...I think it must be about stamina build up...it seems like it will be a breeze walking again but beware...take it slow...good luck with the week 👍🏻
