Yes, I think everyone thinks the increase is a bit strange/challenging. Somehow I managed it and lots of other people did too. The programme is very well designed, and I think achieving Week 5 sets you up fantastically to go on to complete the programme - it shows you that you can do a longer run. It is important to take Run 3 at a slow and steady pace. Best of luck with all the runs! ๐๐
R 3 is totally do-able, because most of us have done it.... Youโre being built up slowly slowly slowly for this. And youโll do it brilliantly, brilliantly brilliantly.
In each W4 workout you have run for 16 minutes and each workout is longer than each of those in W5. So although you run for longer on W5R3, it is overall the shortest workout in weeks 4 and 5. Brisk walking uses almost as much energy as a gentle jog, so there are no great leaps, just rearrangement of your intervals and a gentle progression.
feeling the same as you...did wk 5 run 1 today and it felt great...looking forward to run 2 and saving run 3 for the end of the week. Its a bit of a worry but Im looking forward to having a go...the state of me week 1 r1, I would never had said that I could get this far, I'm sure we can do it (just for me, very very slowly)
Iโm the same! When I started this 5 weeks ago, I wouldnโt even run for a bus! 5 weeks on and Iโm enjoying rubbing! Iโll give it my all and see how it goes!
Oh ohhhh...the dreaded Wk5r3...well guess what? Youโre not the only one! I thought there was absolutely no way I could do that!!!! And I was right, I think it took me 3 attempts....but, thatโs ok! It doesnโt matter how long the programme takes you...so, Iโm sending you good luck vibes for W5R3, but you wonโt need it, donโt overthink it just do it x
