I have never been a fitness enthusiast and was always on the stout but fit side. I could run upto 15mins in the past.

But went out of touch for a few months. With age catching up as well, became unfit and put on a lot of weight over last few months. Am here to reverse it and become fit again ... and in the process lose weight.

Did my first run yesterday and hoping to keep it up. Hope I will make it to the 30mins running in 9 weeks.

Just to add... I want to do park run in Feb/Mar next year. Not going to worry about timings for now. My focus for now is to get to 30mins running. Does it sound reasonable?

Welcome to the family. I started out just like yourself and am now up to week 7. The programme works. Just keep it steady and slow a light jog and you'll be running for 30 minutes in no time at all.
