Having watched me finish the programme my partner Bob has decided to finish as well, therefore we dropped to a week 6 run which he managed then did week 7 run 1 this week.
The week six run was the first in my new trainers which were my graduation present to myself.
I had pains for the first time in my lower legs but on the longer run these eased off. As these shinies have extra support I am wondering if the pain was due to them correcting my ankle position so working muscles differently?

Like you I treated myself and went to a specialist running shop - tried a few and purchased brooks - I ran in them a few times and was suffering with pain in my knees and shins. Am fully enjoying them now though due to my podiatrist! It was more complicated for me - I have specialist insoles to correct my pronation. I can recommend if you find you are still in pain. Happy running! 🏃🏼♀️😊🏃🏼♀️
