Running on empty R2W8

Learned a valuable lesson this evening. Do not run if you have had a hectic day and have only managed to cram in a rushed breakfast at around 8.30 and uncountable cold cups of coffee. My body needed more than that to complete my 28 minutes! Managed it but was my worst run ever. Struggling with the work/life/run balance. Won't do that again. Fuel is much needed! Not enough hours in the day 😞

Very very well done for completing the run despite how you felt. I know how you feel, I've actually switched from after work to first thing in the morning on work days now. Keep it up, trust me, you're doing great :-)

Thank you I really should know better. Didn't want to miss my run though. Even the dog looked shattered πŸ˜€

Not a morning person. I leave for work at 6.30 so getting out of my warm comfortable bed earlier than that is not an option.

Not a morning person either. Managed it this morning but I don't have any faith that I will keep it up!

Glad that you are ok though, sounded like a recipe for low blood sugar and a rough run all round. Tick it off, learn, and move on!

Maybe give it a go. When I was struggling to fit in my runs, people on here recommended early mornings - and it works. Out at 5am with the dog, and I love it. The buzz I get from already completing my run, by far exceeds the wrench of getting out of bed.

Well done... but, not really !

You do need fuel and although you did the run.. you did yourself no favours.

So.. lesson learned.. take care of you... you are the best running asset you have got :)

This whole running thing might help you with your hectic life as it might force you to rearrange things for the better, food being just one area πŸ™‚

I think fuelling exercise is key to success. Get some porridge oats in stock, if you've not already done so πŸ˜ƒ
