W6R2 - off piste!

After taking an extra day to deal with a lurgy, I was really looking forward to today's run and planned to mix it up in search of a 25 min route for R3. I ran my usual route in the park for the first 10 mins and found the legs to keep the pace going up my gentle incline (which only two weeks ago exhausted me).

Elated, I headed off into the woods and ran to the lake - finally a destination !! Still had two minutes to run so foolishly followed a narrower and narrower path which led through a wall of stinging nettles!! I was so busy trying to dodge the stingers and ouching that I didn't hear my legs shouting at me at all πŸ˜„ More stinging nettles attacked me on the recovery walk home, but did I care? Not a bit!

I promise I'll plan my route better for Thursday but for the first time I can honestly say I loved today's run. Wishing everyone a happy run 😊

Ha that sounds like me. I find some daft places to get myself in/out of. I've got week 6/3 to do tomorrow. I can't decided between plodding the streets locally or twice round the town park. Park costs a quid to park GRRRR local streets are full of kids en route to school. Hubbie is not keen on my first choice - bridleways. As he worries about my safety. ( He is recovering from a burst appendix s cannot come with me).

Choices, choices - I'd opt for the park rather than pesky kids, so long as it's safe - are there plenty of people around when you run?

Ouch?!! Well done though on running through the pain!! πŸ’ͺ🏻 Sounds like you've had 'One of those runs' one of the satisfying ones when it all comes together & you feel good all day...? 😊

Oh yes, it's a great feeling and I'm still grinning to myself even though the stings are still gently pulsating! 😊

That would have been sensible but I was too elated to think straight! I'll know next time 😊
