This 56 year old overweight father of 3 has just run for 20 minutes. Without stopping. And I loved it.
20 minutes. I haven't done that since 1979.
This programme is unbelievable.
That is all.

Well done sir!! I too achieved that particular buzz when I finished my 3rd run of week 5 yesterday and I'm still buzzing from it today!!
I didn't know you could become hooked on this running malarkey!!
Well done on the run and that's a great picture 👍🏼👍🏼
Brilliant! Well done
Great achievement, you are right to be pleased !
This run is definitely a game changer. Self belief soars. Fantastic. Congratulations.
Well done that man!
Keep running, keep smiling.
Well done! It's an amazing feeling, isn't it? Good luck for week 6
That's brilliant!! Well done you 😊
That's great and you should be so proud
Yeay!!!! Go you... Week 6 here you come...
Yes well done you, keep going your doing great and got this...😀
It's an amazing feeling that 20 minute run, isn't it? I did mine last Friday and it rained. Got drenched but kept going. I realised half way round that my whole attitude had switched from "I can't do this" to "I can". The programme works so well. Even managed my first 25 minute run yesterday at a very slow plod. Feel it's slowly becoming part of who I am. Michael Johnson even told me I was a runner yesterday! !! Hope the rest of your programme goes well. Love the support on here too from everyone.
It's odd that the 25 min plod actually holds few fears now. At the end of the 20 I felt I could carry on. When Michael told me I was halfway, I was actually going surprised at how quickly the first ten had passed. I run a particular route that I have broken down into 5 and ten minute landmarks. Helps massively as I know that if I reach a certain point I've run a particular time
.
Sounds like a good plan. I vary my route each time. Planning which way to go next gives me something to think about!!
It definitely helps. Twenty minutes is twice round the usual route. You "know" where you are throughout which helps massively with pacing. I have a "finishing line" which is a really good focus point. It also does take your mind off "how long have I got left" if you can focus on a particular point to aim for
That's brilliant ✅
Felt so pleased & proud reading your post almost as if I'd completed W5 run 3! Thank you for posting & the photo. Good luck with next 3 weeks 👍.
Well done great effort!!
Well done! Enjoy your buzz and that wonderful sense of achievement, because you have truly earned it!
Well done, you've broke the back of the program, I keep telling myself, if I can run for 20 minutes then I can run for 25 minutes, if I can run for 25 minutes then I can run for 28 minutes and finally, if I can run for 28 minutes then I'm pretty sure I can run for 30 minutes!
Enjoy the feeling that comes with completing W5R3, you'll be grinning like a loon every time you think of it!
Enjoy the rest of the journey.
You dont need to say anymore...
