i have inspired my daughter to do the C25K she would like me to join her -do I continue to consolidate my 30 min runs or do I start the C25K again ? (if I do this will I lose the ability to run continuous for 30 min) Or do I do my own 30 min run 3 x week and C25K on alternate days -? or the same day ? at the minute my speed is very slow just managing under 4k in 30 mins :( any advice welcome please

In the early weeks I would suggest doing it with her on your 'non running' days. You could aim to do 2X 30 minute runs whilst you are doing it with your daughter? When I did it with a friend not long after I had graduated, I did it after or before my run, until about week 7, then did that instead... However keep stretching and see how you feel as you do need rest inbetween... running with children is the best. I did c25k with my son when he was 11. He is 15 now and we still run together which is wonderful :)

Thank you ju-ju. I did think about running my own 30 min in the morning then joining her in evening as she runs faster so that would build up speed ? Or do you think I should do it straightaway rather than morning and teatime ? Then from week 7 abandon mine and just carry on with my daughters ?

Great question, my 9 year old has a 5k school jog today! She feels very unfit -- I told her a little about my practice program and she'd like to also try. So maybe we can go together :-)
