I graduated from the programme three months ago but I completed my first 5k jog on my own yesterday and it was such an amazing feeling.
This programme has taught me so many things but I think the main one has to be the art of patience. Previously I was very much an all or nothing kind of person. However over the past three months I've experimented with short runs, quick runs, hilly runs, mixed runs - and I have just enjoyed the experience rather than worrying where it's getting me, or indeed feeling the need to get anywhere.
I just wanted to post this for anyone worrying about their progress and how far or fast they are going. As soon as I let go of the need to track and measure every single run I tuned into what really matters - the simple joy of running ππ»ββοΈβΊοΈ xx

I totally agree. Other than park runs which give me a feel for my speed I now love running without any kind of technology. So far I am sticking to 30 minutes but plan to start varying that soon. Just running with the birdsong as my playlist is great. Not thinking speed or distance and therefore not having to carry a phone with me is great.
