Everyone keeps saying consolidate what does that mean sorry to be thick xxx
Graduated consolidation????: Everyone keeps... - Couch to 5K
Graduated consolidation????
Not Thick
It means that you need to run a few weeks of 30 minutes x3 before you start to think about what you want to do next- Just to get the habit well established and to continue to build your running legs. Have fun
It really means get into the habit of running three times a week- not necessarily for 30 minutes at a time. Some short runs, some longer runs (but ideally no more tha 30 minutes initially). Those of us who don't run 5k in 30 minutes then gradually increase running time/distance to get to the 'magic' 5k.
Basically just building on the c25k experience and having fun with running.
I was thinking the same thing but didn't like to ask
to become, or cause something to become, stronger, and more certain
the above from the oxford English dictionary,
so in this use to strengthen your ability to run 5k/30minutes
Thank you haven't made it to the 5k yet so was wondering about trying to get to that will keep running at 30 mins and see what happens definitely keeping up 3 times a week xxx
It's about getting the 30 minute run really practised before pushing on to reach other goals (distance, speed etc). It's also about having runs that you just run for the fun of it hopefully. 🤓
As the others sat.. consolidation of thirty minute runs, then some shorter runs and a longer, see where you get to, run.
The C25K programme has just started the whole process of building up our running muscles and our strength and stamina also.. so by consolidation, we continue to build on those foundations.. Continued running, three times a week is a great habit to adopt... and pays dividends in this fantastic running journey
