Road to nowhere

I was up and out by 7am to try and beat the morning heat.

There was a rare rain shower here in California last night so this morning was a bit humid but also nice and fresh after the oppressive 42C heat. (It's supposed to be a chilly 37C today!)

I didn't want to follow the same route as Saturday as it was just around a housing estate and was quite hilly. I had noticed there was an entrance to a track the other day so thought I would give it a try and have a bit of a nosey.

Suffice to say that I now know where I will be running whenever I am over visiting the office.

It was a long running/walking/cycling track all bendy and windy and was nice flat virgin tarmac.

I'm used to uneven inclined country lanes so this was a pure pleasure.

I got through my 5 min run with no problem, the 3 min seemed over before it had even begun and the final 5 min was easier as well.

People of all ages smattered along the route either jogging or walking.

All with a smile and a cheery hello.

Roll on Wednesday.
