Parkrun Tourism

I'm dedicating the Bestwood Village Parkrun that I completed this morning to Curlygurly2 (as I owe her one from about April(?))

If you're a fan of hills, and single lap routes, and you find yourself in the area, this is a run for you. There's lots of scenery to look at, and the local runners and marshals are really friendly and helpful. It's nowhere near as busy as my own local run, and nowhere as competitive either - yes I know they aren't races, but at Hove Park the marshals call out the time that's passed since the start to you as you run by!

Was glad to have my Garmin with me as I won't get an official time until I get back home to my laptop.

One thing to note if you ever do plan on doing any Parkrun Tourism is make sure you've arranged a pick up time and place with the people who are ferrying you around *before* the start. That, or not give your phone to one of those same people to look after, knowing that it is still on silent 😳

I did some Parkrun Tourism today too. Met my brother and his girlfriend and went to Marley Park in Dublin. Really enjoyed it, very busy and we had breakfast afterwards at a Market sitting on the grass. It's cool doing it somewhere different.
