Parkrun tourism !!

I have some major parkrun tourism coming up !! I'm sure you will understand how excited I am - I am off to Cape Town (will be living on beans on toast most of next year but will be worth it). It is to see the cricket - second test against South Africa, but on 2nd January I will do Greenpoint parkrun !! It is near the waterfront in Cape Town. I have finally started packing (leave on 28th Dec) , so some suitable running kit for the warmer temperatures will be packed ! They have an 8am start (just as well). Photos to follow !!

I don't understand cricket despite my hubby's efforts but he did take me to Lords once and I was so thrilled to see that the queue for the men's toilet was longer than the women's! It was the only time I've ever seen that! Enjoy the cricket and the running.

Thanks IP ! A visit to Lord's is quite an experience ! Can't wait to indulge 2 of my 3 passions in life (running, cricket and fast cars) !!

I will be visiting Capetown on a cruiship early next year - and I am intending to do the Greenpoint parkrun on 06 Feb. It will be just a walk from where the ships berth. If it comes off, this will be my second International parkrun - the other one was in San Francisco ( where they only had 16 runners)

I will try and get hold of my son to find out the best places to run. I think you will find some lovely places. My son got married on the beach in CApe Town. The pics he send are lovely and the weather is great. I hope you have a lovely time x
