I was so inspired by all the postings it has lifted my spirits for my first ever 10k race in 2 weeks! I had a little set back this week with the stomach flu and the heat in Georgia....
I'm 57 years old and started running again, did a 5k, 3 weeks ago. I ran slow , but I finished strong and I was proud!
My son who is an avid runner invited me to this race for Labor Day to benefit cystic fibrosis... I have run for an hour straight....
A lot 😳 and excited at the same time!! Thank-you all, I will think of all your post and stories on my long run this Sunday"

Make sure you have really good hydration for your long run this weekend, stomach flu will of depleted your fluid levels a bit and if you are dehydrated you will find It very hard. Because of the flu this week if you find it very hard going I would turn to a walk because your not that far away from your event and need to have your body ready for it. you don't want to stress yourself out too much. Have an easy run this weekend and looking forward to reading your long run report.
