So been on 2 runs since graduation, both the same course as the 30m final run. The first one was brilliant, better time, felt amazing, wonderful.
The second was not! I felt a twinge in my calf/shin early on but pushed through and almost immediately regretted this decision! Very sore leg and knee - sulking for a couple more rest days I think 😔

Commiserations. Unfortunately a common theme from new graduates............you are not get a superhuman.
Reading between the lines it sounds as if you are giving too much emphasis to time. Don't push hard on every run. Consolidate your 30 minute runs with most of them at a gentle (80%) pace, otherwise your injury risk is increased.
Thanks for your advice, sadly I think I am not superhuman! I'll try and not push it every time!
Ooh nasty stuff. Rest easy and sulking probably the best recipe, because you never want to spend days sulking again. So get the sulking and resting done, and then you'll be good to run again.
