Mid programme and have to admit I'm finding it tough. Music doesn't suit, weather uncomfortable, whine whine whine! Think I just need to toughen up, put in some strength training (thx @Rowville) and trust the programme, as I hear so often. It's almost become my 'mantra' and it really helps.

For some light relief, here's a pic of the ford I ran to today :-) Gave the pups a treat because it was warm and of course, Yoda is on the c25k 'get fit' with me anyway, so he's feeling it a bit now too as it gets harder!

Well, on the plus side at least you can control the music :) I do that to the max, no surprises. When it comes to the weather I tend to go philosophical - weather is just what it is, cannot be changed so I either enjoy or ignore it. Just do it, run, enjoy yourself, ignore negative thoughts, think of long term benefits and you will be fine ;)

Thx - exactly what I need to remember. Silly niggles that normally are 'water off a ducks back' seem to loom large when hitting a rough patch, but as you say, focussing on the long term benefits is what's getting me back out there 😊👍

I've just done W4 and D2 was a nightmare almost threw the towel in but did D3 in cool damp drizzle and loved it, we all have bad days. Come on us Labrador owners can do it 😁👍

I was just saying today that I love the before 'I can do this' part of the run and the after' wow, I did it!' part, but the during part is torture LOL. I tried books on tape, but found I couldn't pay attention so I switched back to music, it helps some. I think I am going to try R2 without though, I think sometimes when a song ends I am like, well, that was at least a 3 minute song, and when I check the time and it was only the last 1 minute of the song and I get frustrated LOL

This did make me smile, cos I can imagine I'd get my feet in a knot if I tried to concentrate on a book too, lovely though the idea is! I've downloaded some 'older style' running tracks (70s, 80s, 90s album rather than the latest running albums) so am hoping these will be less distracting / painful to listen to. Showing my age, I know!! I know what you mean about songs running out too, so thanks for the empathy. I even thought about going without music as well, because I figured that if races don't allow earphones, it blooming well must be possible!! 😂 #earlydoorsrunnerproblems

someone on here mentioned the book on tape and I thought it was a great idea, just not for me! My favorite has been old 50's rock, but it made me run too fast LOL. I am sure if my neighbors are looking out their windows they get a laugh at me 'dancing' while running during some of my songs!

Yes it is tough. That's why most people don't ever do it. And you do and have done it before by the looks of it so therefore you're tough 💪

Keep going. The feeling on graduation (again) is worth every minute of sweat and pain 🏃🏃🏃
